After the first debut in China in 2017, Tour de France, which has a 115-year cycling race history will return to China. A.S.O., the global organizer of the Tour de France and Activation Group, the organizer of Le Tour de France Events in China, announced that the 2018 Le Tour de France ŠKODA SHANGHAI CRITÉRIUM will be held on November 17th in Pudong, Shanghai this year. The champion of Le Tour de France Geraint Thomas, Le Tour de France six-time Green Jersey winner Peter Sagan, White Jersey winner Pierre Latour, and other world-wide famous cyclists will make their appearance in Shanghai. One of best cyclists with strong character, Peter Sagan, will be back to China after a 7 year break.

All-Star team Shining

The success of the Le Tour de France ŠKODA SHANGHAI CRITÉRIUM in 2017has made it one of the most popular cycling events in China. Through the off-site interactive activities and excellent event organization, the distance betweenTour de France and Chinese cycling fans became smaller and smaller. Based on the successful experience in 2017, A.S.O. and Activation group invited international top riders and World Tour Racing Teams fly to China, gathering all-star team lineup, it will also be a visual feast this year.

Peter Sagan and Marcel Kittel, both are top sprinters, confirmed their attendance at The 2018 Le Tour de France ŠKODA SHANGHAI CRITÉRIUM. One of them is the Tour de France six-time Green Jersey winner, and another one is the famous German rider who received 5 stage wins in Tour de France 2017. After July, their competition will continue from the Europe to Shanghai, China. At the same time, Sagan will be assisted by his brother Juraj Sagan, who has won the Slovakia National Champion in 2016-2017. Juraj transferred to Bora-Hansgrohe team with his brother in 2017.

As the only Chinese rider who currently joins the World Tour Racing Team- Meiyin Wang will represent the Bahrain Merida team, and will also be a participant in the 2018 Le Tour de France ŠKODA SHANGHAI CRITÉRIUM on November 17th.
